Division of Public Health
Originally from Lāʻie, Hawaiʻi, Oreta Mapu-Tupola, MSW/CCHW brings a broad background in education, public health, and community engagement. She earned her undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and has worked throughout Utah supporting community health worker initiatives, building partnerships between academic institutions and local organizations, and expanding programs that promote fairness and justice in health access. In her role with the department, she will contribute to workforce development, community-based training, and outreach efforts. Outside of work, Oreta enjoys family life, community service, and creating opportunities for youth and underserved populations to thrive.
