UPAP was able to get back to their mission of reaching community members to provide essential healthcare. This last week, Physician Assistant students and faculty traveled to Genoa, Utah, to visit the Centro de La Familia Headstart. There, the group saw a variety of children from 1 month to 5 years old and provided needed dental preventive care. With the assistance of Michelle Martin, BSDH, MPH, an oral health specialist from the Utah Department of Health, the UPAP group provided the visiting children with fluoride varnish to help protect their teeth.
