Family Medicine Interest Group Hosts Successful Residency Fair

Medical students from the University of Utah’s Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG)— with the support of Medical Student Education Program Manager Ashley Crompton, Family and Community Medicine Professor Karly Pippitt, MD, and the Utah Academy of Family Physicians (UAFP)—organized and hosted the Family Medicine Residency Fair on April 4, 2025. The annual event connects aspiring physicians with established residency programs, fostering a deeper interest in the family medicine field.

The fair had participation from five Family Medicine residencies based in Utah, including the U’s Family Medicine Residency Program, alongside three programs from Idaho. Each residency program had informative booths on campus at the Health Sciences Education Building, creating an engaging atmosphere for attendees.

Students from the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine, Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine had the opportunity to interact directly with representatives from each
